News Travelling to the NT for ChangeFestNT21
TRAVELING TO THE NT
Next week ChangeFestNT21 will be underway on beautiful Larrakia Country in Palmerston. It’s been a big journey to get to this point and there is still a way to go before we will be ready. Perhaps we won’t be quite ready. That is one of the many joys of working in dynamic times with community leaders at the centre. There have been delays and pivoting due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Victoria.
The Territory have been welcoming people from across Australia in big numbers since COVID-19 closed International borders. There has been a lot going on and many locals have shared that even the wet season was busy they didn’t quite get the ‘rest and reset’ that other parts of Australia have experienced. So if travelling here from other places, bring your best self, your curiosity, patience and generosity.
HEALTH CHECKS
If you are feeling unwell – DO NOT TRAVEL!
Please check the NT Government website for the latest updates. https://coronavirus.nt.gov.au/
If you are in Victoria we are so sorry to miss you. If you have been in Victoria in the past two weeks then you may also be restricted from entering the NT. Consider registering for the online option. https://events.humanitix.com/changefestnt21
If coming from other places – Get a COVID-19 test anyway, even if you are feeling completely well. Peace of mind is a powerful thing.
PREPARING FOR YOUR JOURNEY
We would love to know more about your place. Take a photo of where you live and/or work to share. What a 6D multi sensory postcard would look, feel, smell, taste, sound and seem like? Our places are vitally important and ChangeFest strives to make them even more important, to deepen our understanding and connections locally. Share your photo via social media and tag #changefestNT21
