ChangeFest on the Road was a series of local events that took place in 2020-21. They offered communities an opportunity to host micro ChangeFest moments, co-designed with the ChangeFest Director and Creative Producer.
ChangeFest on the Road provided a space for system change practitioners and adaptive leaders to contribute to shifting the conditions holding inequity in place in their place. It was changemaking in action as leaders play and experiment with how to learn and share that learning.
ChangeFest on the Road was a vehicle to enable and foster:
- communities to identify and address their learning needs
- develop peer to peer connection between initiatives and to the next ChangeFest gathering
- deepen community relationships with First Nations Elders & leaders
- create more catalyst moments to mobilise a movement of changemakers
- experiment with a place based model that is more environmentally sustainable and will provide learning to impact the national CF gathering
Between ChangeFest19 and ChangeFestNT21, ChangeFest on the Road events were developed to converge in the NT. Following an EOI process in January 2020, 16 communities put up their hands and a scoping process was undertaken to determine the final events.
