For our 24 June 2025 session, attendees heard a powerful and timely yarn with First Nations Elders, Leaders, and young people from across the ChangeFest movement as we explored the 2025 NAIDOC theme: “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.”
We heard stories of how communities across the ChangeFest songlines are nurturing the strength of young leaders, the vision of their communities and the legacy of ancestors. This was also an opportunity for attendees reflect on their own place, power and role in creating communities and wider systems that work for the strength of the next generation of leadership.
The ChangeFest Elders and Leaders Group sit at the center of the ChangeFest movement – providing cultural leadership and guidance across the work. The group is made up of Elders and Leaders from each of the Gathering communities and as such, hold the ChangeFest Songlines across the country.
