Each ChangeFest gathering has been shaped by the communities, places and relationships that hosted it. Together, they tell the story of a growing national movement for community-led systems change.
Across Country, these gatherings have created space to listen deeply, share practice, strengthen connections and explore new ways of working together — grounded in shared leadership, collaboration, working with power, and community voice.

ChangeFest25 was held 19 – 21 November 2025 on Whadjuk Country in Walyalup (Fremantle, WA), extending the ChangeFest Songlines west for the first time. ChangeFestNT21
ChangeFestNT21 was a national celebration of place-based social change that brought together citizens, social workers, academics, creative practitioners, business leaders, politicians, and policymakers. It was part forum, part festival, aiming to explore new ways of working together and learning from each other.

ChangeFest 2019 was a four-day event focused on place-based change and community-led initiatives. It brought together over 550 participants from across Australia to learn, collaborate, and develop solutions for systemic change, with a strong emphasis on First Nations leadership and community engagement. The inaugural group of “ChangeFest Optimists” were a team of disruptors from Logan Together, Collaboration for Impact, Griffith University and Opportunity Child. These organisations banded together to deliver a national conversation on place-base collective impact. Our goal? Empowering more people to help deliver large scale social change – and having fun while doing so!
