Employment & Economic Inclusion is about everyone being able to get decent work for fair pay. It's also a chance to build local enterprises, and share prosperity. It is a communityled and placebased approach in which partners align resources to local priorities to centre equity.
Common issues include filling local skills gaps. Low school completion, high youth unemployment result in employers being unable to fill vacancies. Community disadvantage can become entrenched. Links between families, education and business can be weak.
