Disaster Resilience is about helping people, places, and services prepare for and recover from shocks like floods, storms, heatwaves, fires, or power outages. It’s about building stronger communities that can plan ahead, stay connected, and bounce back when things go wrong.
Many people at highest risk don’t get the support they need. Warnings can be missed, homes and infrastructure may not cope, information is often unclear. Some households have low savings or live in isolation, making recovery harder.
